For 25 years, the beauty and importance of the David A. Straz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts has been that it's bigger than any one performance or genre. It's a stunning community destination that offers a gamut of live performances and unique experiences.
Located in downtown Tampa on the Hillsborough River, the Straz Center (formerly TBPAC) is the largest performing arts center south of the Kennedy Center.
The five-theater complex features grand opera (Carmen, The Magic Flute), touring Broadway (Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Once, Porgy and Bess), dance and drama as well as comedy, concerts and cabaret. The facility features three restaurants with full event planning and services for all occasions.
The Patel Conservatory, which opened in 2004, offers dance, theater and music training for all ages and skill levels – including two full sessions and a variety of summer classes and camps.
